This Mother's Day

I'm so thankful for my own mother. My mother-in-law. And my two grandmothers. I'm a lucky woman to have so many strong, wonderful moms to look up to.

*********************************************

This Mother's Day, I will remember as the one where our house was full of boxes and we were preparing to sell our house.

I've resigned from the job I love and am preparing to move my family half way across our state. Back to the town where I met my husband. The first town I lived in away from home.

This mama won't be an Omaha one for much longer.

I'm going to live in a much smaller town and my husband is going to be the principal of its one public high school.

There will be a lot of decisions to make. A LOT.

But for today, I'm going to sip my coffee, head to church, and then spend the rest of the day in a cleaning frenzy. I am decidedly grateful for all of the opportunities that lay ahead of us and am trying really hard not to get stuck in the stress of the rest!

I'm so pleased that you get to move closer to your own Mama. So what will we call you? Will you take time off to get the house and family in order or will you go for a job right away? Sis and I may have to come up for coffee soon to sit down and chat it up.

I'm sure this move is one filled with mixed emotions...but it sounds like an exciting one, and potentially a good one for all of you. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed!

It just hit me that you will not be at Millard South! What a loss for that District and school. I know you have done an amazing job filling sweet Jacque's shoes. I am so happy for you and your family for this new opportunity. I will anxiously await your blog to stay in touch with your kiddos.
Best of luck to you all. It is an exciting new adventure.

Advice? Let's see...my best advice is sell everything and just buy new stuff when you get there. Ha ha. We are STILL unpacking. Actually, we aren't...we have boxes piled in the garage and basement that just may never get unpacked!!!

I will miss you! I was looking forward to another coffee morning!
