TEN

I wrote about My Love on our 6th anniversary. I also wrote on our 8th anniversary.

Today, we celebrate a decade of marriage. When I look back, it seems like a big deal and a long time and a huge milestone.

When I look forward...not so much.

For there will be 20 years, then 30, 40, 50...and hopefully more after that. Ten years seems like nothing when you look at it facing the future.

I joke often about marriage being a life sentence, but I mean it.

If I had it to do again, I would. Over and over again.

OKay, I just reflected the other day on the fact that I have been married almost FOUR YEARS!?! How did that even happen. I can't even imagine ten, and I refuse to look forward at 20 or 30. It's too depressing for me.

Happy Anniversary!!

My grandparents have been married for something like 64 years. Ten is nothing! :-)

And it just keeps getting better, so it's definitely NOT depressing!

Congrats! It is a big deal in the sense that not everyone thinks like us...they give up once it gets a little tough. We always say the same thing this is for life. Choosing wisely has no doubt made your life much sweeter.

I just noticed the new banner...nice! And now I keep thinking about my 14 anniversary this September and that I have a 10 year old child...just how old am I?!

Congrats! It is important to celebrate the milestones, big and small. Think of ALL that has happened in 10 years! SO MUCH! And multiply that....your life is and will be full of wonderful people, experiences, and memories! Big hugs from your O-town friends!

Congratulations. Ten years is big -- but there will be even more bigger milestones to come. Did you celebrate the traditional way: exchanging gifts made of tin?

If you every feel unhappy about the years you've been married that means you need to "get to work" on your marriage. I heard someone say, "When the last place I wanted to go was home to my wife I knew I'd let things go and that I needed to get to work to make it the only place I wanted to go." I agree. Work, work, work. But it's a labor of love to have a great marriage that works.

10 years ... how wonderful to reach that milestone and to know 10 more, and 10 more and 10 more :) Happy 10th anniversary to you both!
