I put a handful of frozen peas in our mac 'n cheese for lunch.
Brenna says, with a very worried expression, "Mommy, I do not like these beans.at.alllll."
I say, with conviction, "B, eat it all. Your body needs green food too."
She says, deadpan, "But my green food is all the way to the top." As she gestures her hand to her throat.
I laugh out loud as she looks on, still very worried.
She hates the dreaded veggies-in-the-macaroni trick.

Ha! Silly girl.
I can hear the drama! Aren't little girls just the best!! They can make drama out of peas!
oh she makes me laugh too! :)
but does she eat them? if so, she's the queen of all queens and needs to come over and teach my kid a thing or two.
It does sound so very dramatic and tragic indeed! I *love* peas in MY mac 'n cheese, but my T. doesn't like them mixed, either.
Wow...this post made me really smile and feel so much better. We are going through a MAJOR drama with our little girlie right now over eating vegetables. Glad to know we aren't the only ones with 'pea drama' at our house. LOL Do you have any great advice or "magic" for getting them to eat their veggies? I am going to try the mac and cheese/pea idea...and imagine it will go over much like it did at your house. :) Worth a try though! Thanks for sharing!!!
Have you heard about the book, by Jerry Seinfeld's wife, that has recipes with vegetable puree? It could be a way to get the veggies in your children as well as in your casseroles.
hee hee hee - what is it about veggies that kids don't like? I just don't get it ;) Thanks for the chuckle :)
