Apples!

Early in October, the kids and I drove out into the country after school. There's a small apple orchard where you can go walk around and then purchase apples. What a fun day. The weather here has been perfect this month. As it dips a little lower in temperatures each week, I'm sad to see it go.

I guess I'm just glad that we took lots of opportunities to enjoy it while it lasted!

Apple picking is the perfect fall activity and the reward is great...lots of apple crisp! Looks like you are making the most of your time at home.

I'm jealous that you live some place with so many cool things to do & awesome places to visit. Want a boarder?

I LOVE apple picking--so fun, and so memorable. I miss the apple picking we used to do in upstate, NY. Apple orchards are scarce in these parts!

I love the visits to the orchard, although I always end up with an insane amount of apples and then spend the next few weeks making apple everything!

Glad you got out while the weather was nice.

Our preschoolers pick apples every year. They just love it. And then we make applesauce, apple muffins, apple crisp and apple pie. Of course we eat apple slices with peanut butter, caramel and cin and sugar. The eat apples like pros. Good times are had by all when it's apple picking time.

Love your little apple pickers. The apples look marvelous.
