A Contest!

I'm so excited to present my very first contest giveaway!

Disney on Ice has offered to give one lucky Omaha Mama reader four tickets to the opening night of Disney on Ice, on September 18th. It's being held at Qwest Center in Omaha, so if you can be there that night, enter here and win!

Catch the next ride to laugh-out-loud fun with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in Disney On Ice presents a Disneyland® Adventure. Join your favorite characters on a trip through the park and thrill to “Incredible” excitement when everyone’s favorite superhero family shows up to save the day!

The OM family will be there that night too and I am psyched! A great memory from my childhood, when I was about B's age, was seeing Smurfs on Ice. I don't so much remember it as I do the book that I got as a souvenir. I kept it for a long time, looking at the pages and remembering how cool the show was. Now my kids can experience the same excitement! They love Mickey and Minnie, the Incredibles, and pretty much every Disney character. They will be thrilled to see them gliding on ice.

So enter here, by commenting, if you want a chance to win four tickets to a great show. If you have friends, siblings, etc. who live in the area, send them over to play.

In the comments section, tell me this: If your family was like the Incredibles, what super-powers would they each have? I will randomly select an answer. The winner will receive a family four pack to see the show on Opening Night, September 18th. Disney On Ice presents a Disneyland Adventure playing September 18th-21st at the Qwest Center.

The contest ends on September 12th. I will post the winner then. ~ Good luck!

If my family were the Incredibles David's super power would be the ability to do all things from the comfort of his La-Z-Boy recliner...nuclear disaster, no problem, just flip a switch in the arm of his chair! Kyle's super power would be "chatterbox" he would subdue his enemies by talking them to death...bonus power? His non-ending use of "like"! As for me? Hip-hop dance move distraction! Someone robbing a bank - hey, I've got you covered with my awesome moves!

Well, there is just the two of us at the moment, but I suppose I would like it if Matt could able to engineer us some type of craft type mobile to get us out of trouble, anytime anywhere. If I had a super power I would choose to be SUPERMAID! Cleaning the house in 1.2 seconds! WOO!

Hubs would have the power to make anything out of any items given him, like MacGyver (sp?). Me? The mom with 10 arms, 16 eyes (including the back of the head), and 8 ears. I am sure you get why. Addison? She would be the one that was able to win over the enemy just by batting her big blue eyes and smiling that little smile she knows just how to use and when. Z? He would have the power to out argue any enemy possible. His was IS the right way and he will win by talking the "dark side" over to the "good side". Much like the Jedi. Jenna? Oh that's easy. She would just make the enemy laugh to death. Literally.

Win or lose, this was FUN to think about!!!! However.... tell us what YOUR family would be!!!!!! I would love to see what you say about yours!

Boy! That's a tought question! I guess Jeff would have lazer vision and super strength. Both would be very handy when it comes to hanging trim in our bedroom remodels. I would have the ability to multiply myself so that I could actually be doing two things at once. Super speed would also be handed around the office and to get shopping done quicker. The little one would be able to move things with her mind, then she could always reach what she wanted. The cat . . well the cat would give anything to be heard by us. Seriously, hoew else will I know what to feed her every morning?

I love that question. My family is all about superheros. Kendall would want to either fly or run really fast like the Flash. I think I'd want to fly. Chad is afraid of heights, so flying might not be good. Probably super strength for him. The cat would like to have super powers to obliterate anyone he doesn't like, which is probably everyone. :)

I'll pass on the offer, but I appreciate the sentiment.

I guess this is my reason to delurk? I stumbled on your site some time ago and was drawn by recognition of my city. I never really felt comfortable posting because I didn't want to freak you out by what a small world it is.

My guys would absolutely love this event but I just can't quite convince my husband that it is the best place to spend our dwindling cash.

If we were the Incredibles...my oldest (who has autism) would have the super power to quote every story line ever written. Perhaps that memory would come in handy with knowing how to defuse bombs? (I'll start renting him MacGyver videos so we can get the scripts in him!) My youngest who is almost 3 already has his power. His name is Trey and we call him a Treynado because he destroys everything in his path. My power would be to control the world's computers since I spend all my time on the internet anyway. And in reality my husband is pretty much Bob Parr down to his miserable cubicle job. I'd like to give him a cool superpower. Something like like the power to fly. My boys would love that too because they are huge Superman fans and flying with Daddy would be amazing!

I appreciate the chance to win.
