She opened her kids' Bible to one of her very favorite pages.
There was a flood, so Noah built an ark.
They were on the boat for fifty
days and fifty nights.
Noah sent an eagle to find dry land. It came back,
it did not find dry land. Noah sent the eagle out
again. It did not come back. It found a tree and
made a home. Noah knew the flood was over.
By the way, why is it that although we drag our kids out of bed at 6:00 five days a week, today they were up and ready to party at 6:05? Why, why, why???

Oh we have the same problem with Kyle - he drags out of bed like a ton of bricks on school days, but on Saturday and Sunday, "pop" he's up and at it early...chipper as a little bird. Of course we got smart and started setting out breakfast for him on the night before so now he jumps up, grabs his breakfast and watches an hour of cartoons while we sleep in. After that the tv goes off and we start our day.
Have a good weekend! Stay warm!
It amazes me also. But it's also kinda the same for me. I don't want to get up to that stinkin alarm and then when I don't have to POOF i am up 15 minutes earlier than I would have been if the alarm was going to go off. UGH. Silly irony!
I like her version--very creative...
We have that problem with L., but T. likes to sleep in on the weekends. If we could only get L. to learn this from her...
We have to let Addy stay up late to get her to sleep in on weekends, but then it messes her up the rest of the week, too. So we just take turns sleeping in on the weekends, and whoever's up watches kiddos. Today was my week to sleep, yay!
how sweet :)
Because they have this uncanny ability to know it's the weekend and we want to sleep in!
