Confused

This day begins our last official week of summer break. I have opposite emotions arguing in my body at this very moment.

I am excited for the possibilities that a new school year holds. I am happy that we have had an excellent summer break. I'm grateful that I have a career that allows an annual hiatus.

That's the one hand.

On the other?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally get how you are feeling, it is like you have found your groove and now you have to switch gears again.

Try to squeeze all you can out of this last week.

I'm right there with you. I told my supt last sring, before I would sign my contract that I would be taking at least one day off per month to be with my family. She said that was fine (of course I will not get paid for some of those missing days) and she wants our families to come first. I wish I could pick the days when I could be home and at school. In a "state of conflict" seems to seem my norm in this phase of my life.

I'm a teacher too, but we still have a few weeks off. If it weren't for the getting up at 5:30 am, things would go much smoother. I'm waiting for the 10 am to 2 pm shift to go into effect, then I'll be SET!

Ohhh - I am sooo with you! I am dreading school starting in 3 weeks. I'm having such mixed feelings about sending Brady to kindergarten - ughhhh!!!

I hope you have a GREAT class of kids this year, with tons of positive parent support, and that it's lots of fun to go with all the work :)
