Bolder Today

I've decided that the friggin' flu will not frighten me. Period.
I will be only optimistic because I'm chosing to be.

Feeling much better today. By choice.

I refuse to let any of it get me down. I'm so blessed here, where I am. That's what I'll focus on.

I'm about to eat some marinated flank steak and roasted veggies. I'm enjoying a chilled beverage. And it's Friday.

Life is good and I'm only focusing on that.
Period.

Is that chilled beverage alcoholic in nature? Cos I can be there in a jiffy.

Let's be brave together! No more special reports from TV health reporters -- deal?

Yeah, OM. Life is kinda like being pregnant. You can worry about all that COULD go wrong OR you can focus on how you can handle anything cuz you're not a quitter. I think we have to be terrorized or people keep livin' their lives the "old" way. We have to keep our kids home when they are sick and keep them away from sick people. I have preschoolers come to school with tylenol and a note that says, "Please give ? some at 10. They feel fine but their fever comes up as soon as the tylenol wears off." That is so upsetting to me. They are sick, keep them home for their benefit and everyone else's. We may be your way this week-end as we go to see U Greg. Enjoy some of those cold bevs!!!!!!!

We have always been really strict about the kids staying home until they are well again. And now they don't get sick all that much, so it's not a huge deal. If a kid has a fever, they absolutely should not be at school. Send them home!

Don't worry about that stupid H1N1flu.

Facts: If you are exposed to it . . .you will most likely get it. Only the horribly frail will die from it.

Just think of it like the regular flu.

Or . .
Go to the WHO site for Avian flu. Remember being scared by that because everyone was going to get it? There have been less than 500 cases in the last 10 YEARS! And look how many were in the US. None! Sheesh!

So far, this flu seems benign. As long as the spread of it is contained such that the virus doesn't mutate, no one need worry. In fact, it's likely better to get it now and build immunity to it in case it ever does get more potent...

I'm glad you're feeling better--even though I'm late replying to this. Things do seem to be looking up as far as the flu spread, goes...
