Swistle has motivated me (and some of her other readers) to start exercising with gusto tomorrow. Hey, if a mom of 5, who happens to be nursing a newborn, is planning to get off the couch - well, so am I!
We're doing the Couch to 5K program, which I think actually looks doable. It's geared towards beginners. I'm going to give it a go on my treadmill. We'll see what happens. Problem being, I really like my couch. It's all snuggly with pillows and Year 6 of Harry Potter waiting to be read...
Now - the key is actually just doing it.
Just shutting up and doing it.
I'll let you know how it goes.
Tomorrow is Day 1.

Maybe get the final HP book on cd? I just discovered the entertainment value of having someone read a book to you, especially if they are British! (A friend also said that she got book 6 on cd for a long moving trip and she thought that the voices were awesome and entertaining!) Good luck!
I've heard that the HP audio books are really awesome. Alas, I've just purchased year 6 today and have started it.
As much as I'm loving the series, reading the entire thing in a few weeks time is ill-advised. I'm quite exhausted and ready to leave Hogwarts for a while! [But will not leave, until I've finished the final page of Year 7!]
Good luck! And if it doesn't work out, let's try the "5K to Couch" program.
Back to the couch won't be very far to go!
I need a treadmill! Okay, I have an exercise bike, but needing a treadmill is a good excuse... no?
Good luck to you. I think you've just inspired me.
Well best of luck!
Cheers
good luck! I need to get back to exercising! I used to go to step class on Sat at 9am, but then we went on vacation, and now Joe rides his bike early Sat because it's much cooler then. And when he's deployed I don't know how I'm going to get any gym time in!
