Their heavy little heads leaned slightly towards each other. Little eyes heavy with a day of learning wonderful new things. Their faces a mess from an afternoon spent outside. Mouths sagging into frowns, but content and peaceful.
"Did you have a good day?" I ask.
They barely muster an answer. I see a slight nod.
Their faces are happy, but tired.
Another Monday gone by.

Kayla has been falling asleep just about 800 every night...sometimes while I'm still reading to her! Guess having no nap on school days really tires her out!
Zachary has been the same pile of goo when he gets home from preschool. It's bittersweet. I love every minute of it!!!
Sorry... just got caught up (again). Mason David!!! He is being NAUGHTY?!?! Not little Mason!!! He is such a good little peanut. This HAS to be a phase! Was there a "sad note" today?!?
So sweet. I can just picture them. Makes me want to hug them!
Aw, sweet sleepy little children...
I love rear-view mirror glimpses. It's not often that we can look at our children without their knowing. Their unselfconsciousness is beautiful.
I love watching them too...mine are rarely quiet though so those moments really ARE special.

I love this! Those are the moments--those brief glimpses that make you feel so good and warm inside.
What a nice 'reflection'--isn't it comforting to see them just zonked out from having a full fun day?
